De platenkast van Paul McCartney

  • 22 February 2025
    • 20:15 – 21:30

Musical jack-of-all-trades Yorick van Norden reveals the hidden musical universe of Paul McCartney. Like a detective, he dived into the record collection of the legendary ex-Beatle, the contents of which no one had previously discovered.

In addition to albums by famous names such as The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and Joni Mitchell, Yorick came across surprising finds, such as experimental classical music by Stockhausen, Americana by Gram Parsons and soul by Marvin Gaye. Even hip hop by Eminem, funk by The Meters and afrobeat by Fela Kuti have a place in this rich collection.

In Paul McCartney’s Record Cabinet, Yorick takes you singing, playing and telling his story on his special journey of discovery. He also talks about personal experiences in Abbey Road Studios and plays the songs he recorded there.

Don’t miss this infectious performance by the Netherlands’ greatest McCartney connoisseur.
