From Tuesday 29 April to Friday 2 May, hundreds of participants will discover Hoorn and its surroundings during the Fiets4Daagse Hoorn. The cycling event takes participants through blooming tulip fields, vast polders and old harbour towns. With routes of 30, 50 and 70 km, there is a new experience every day, full of variety and beautiful views. Participants have the freedom to choose whether they participate every day or only participate for a few days.

With cloverleaf routes around the historic port city, this is a perfect way to explore the region. The four-day cycling event falls during the May holiday, allowing participants of all ages to join in on this fun spring tour.

The four cycling days each have their own theme. The first day focuses on the Beemster route, with the Beemsterpolder as a 17th-century highlight. On Wednesday, the tulip route takes participants past beautiful flowering tulip fields in all colours of the rainbow. Traditionally, participants can enjoy a historic crossing on Thursday with the Museum Boat and Museum Steam Tram, as part of the Zuiderzee route. The week ends festively on Friday with the Westfriesland route, a ride over the iconic Westfriese Omringdijk towards Alkmaar.

For four days, participants will enjoy historical locations and cultural highlights. To conclude, participants will be cheerfully welcomed on the Roode Steen with a bunch of tulips on the last day.
