An evening full of nostalgia, focusing on the most legendary concert ever held in the Netherlands: that of The Beatles in Blokker.
During the show ‘The Beatles in Blokker on Tour’ the music of the most famous band in the world is central. The North Holland band Bolistic Smoke – with NH journalist Tom Jurriaans on vocals – is much praised as a tribute band of The Beatles. They open the show with exactly the same setlist as that played in Blokker in 1964.
The NH documentary is then shown on a large screen and discussed with Gert Elzinga. The documentary also answers the question of how it was possible that The Beatles performed in Blokker?
After the break, Bolistic Smoke plays a long set full of Beatles classics, such as ‘Hello, Goodbye’, ‘Penny Lane’, ‘Let it be’ and ‘Hey Jude’. The evening is presented by NH journalist Michiel Baas.
