The most famous musical family of all time is of course the Bach family. More recent is the von Trapp family from the Sound of Music. But even today, musical families are not uncommon worldwide and also in the Netherlands. Think of the ‘piano brothers’ Lucas and Arthur Jussen, who grew up with two musicians as parents. But a large family in which all members play music at a high level is not something you hear every day in Enkhuizen. Good reason to keep Saturday afternoon 21 September free for the concert of the Bunt family.
The family will perform in our church under the leadership of son Maurits (1997). He was captivated by organ music at a young age, on holiday in France, and followed the conservatory and master studies in organ and harpsichord. Now he is active on many fronts as an organist, harpsichordist, church musician, carillon player (including at the Martinikerk in Groningen) and teacher. On September 21st we will hear him on the Westerkerk organ, accompanied by the other Bunt children: Alexander, Harald, Jette-Marie and Eduard, with vocals and instruments. To put in your agenda.
