Due to its success, the Zuiderzee Museum is once again organising two atmospheric evening openings this year: on Saturday 26 October and 2 November. During these enchanting evenings, the outdoor museum will feature hundreds of storm lanterns that will beautifully illuminate the streets and houses.
Enjoy live music performances and the unique atmosphere, as the role players and craftsmen bring the museum to life. The traditional Dutch funfair is in full swing with free funfair attractions from the early 20th century and for every child there is a free lantern, while supplies last.
In addition, enjoy the spectacular laser show on both evenings after sunset. Don’t miss the Evening in the Outdoor Museum and experience the magic of the unique outdoor museum in the dark!

Music performances
On both nights there is a wide range of musical performances. A little hint:
- Put on your headphones and dance along during the silent disco, where you can choose from different songs – the ultimate party in silence! – October 26
- Enjoy the multicultural singing and gospel group Flamboyant – October 26
- Experience the swinging sounds of Gipsy jazz with the Marcia Bamberg Swing Quartet – November 2
- Let yourself be carried away by the nostalgic sounds of organ grinder Peter Visser with De Kleine Drom – both evenings
- Be surprised by the local organist in Urk – both evenings

Old-fashioned fun at the fair
Enjoy the festively lit Old Dutch funfair during the Evening in the outdoor museum . Take a ride in the old-fashioned caterpillar, float in the swan swing, swing in the air swing or try your luck at the shooting gallery. Kaatje Stip, with her imaginative illuminated puppet dress, will provide enchanting stories for young and old on November 2.
Prices and opening hours
The Evening in the Outdoor Museum can be visited on both evenings between 18:00 and 21:00. Reservations are required and tickets are available for € 13.50 per person via https://zuiderzeemuseum.nl/onlinetickets .
Book before September 30th and benefit from €3.50 pp early bird discount! Children up to and including 3 years old, Museum card holders and Friends Lottery VIP CARD holders get free admission, but must reserve a time slot.
Please note! The museum ferries do not sail in the evening. The museum can be reached via the city entrance on the Wierdijk or the service entrance on the Kooizandweg. Parking is available at Sprookjeswonderland or the NS station Enkhuizen.
