Olga Zuiderhoek – Maar wat er ook gebeurt er klinkt muziek

But whatever happens, music sounds is the chorus of ‘Winter toes, lice and eczema, typhus and cancer and the flu’ by Ischa Meijer, Olga’s favorite song. It became the title of this program by Olga Zuiderhoek about music from her 20th century.
She wanted pianist Gerard Bouwhuis for the music, because the music is what it’s all about: Bartók, Antheil, Andriessen, Breuker, Gershwin, Johnny & Jones and of course Stravinsky. They let the dead play along: Gerard plays with Breuker, Olga sings with Ischa. Total theatre on 5 square metres: text, music and images, often funny, sometimes devastatingly sad, but in any case: there is music! Gerard plays and Olga explains why. ‘The 20th century has had 2 world wars, I missed both, how lucky can you be’.
Ticket prices include an interval drink. If the show has no interval, the drink will be ready for you afterwards. Prices exclude €2.50 transaction costs per order.
